On August 1st, 2023, Consumers Energy will have planned venting activity with odorized natural gas at the St. Clair Compressor Station on Marine City Highway.
The venting will take place from approximately 7:30am – 12:00pm. During this venting period there will be significant sounds and smells, like rotten eggs, the residents of Casco and Ira Township as well as the surrounding areas may experience, which is a normal part of this venting.
The Consumers Energy public safety officer will notify the local fire and police department. As always, in case of a gas emergency call Consumers Energy at 1-800-477-5050.
